We’re definitely a nation of food lovers! We also like to take risks and reward creativity, diversity and novelty.
Crucially, we also know how to enjoy ourselves, even in the ‘serious’ business of food! With that in mind, Taste of
Dublin is delighted to announce its theme for 2018: the ‘Food Lover’s Playground’ (inspired by Neff) – where food
lovers come to play!

Food enthusiasts from all over the country will converge in style at Taste of Dublin 2018 from the 14th to the 17th
of June at the Iveagh Gardens, Dublin 2.

This year’s festival will be the finest to date, with a host of exciting new features in the mix to add even more flavour
to Ireland’s premier food and drink festival.

Taste of Dublin’s restaurants and sponsors have really embraced the spirit of the theme – busily dreaming up their
playground plans! Interpretations include: enjoying a cocktail on the top floor of a wooden tram – to an entire menu
composed of food in various shades of pink. Taste of Dublin 2018 promises to be unique and appealing to all the
senses.

Candice Brown – of the Great British Bake Off will share her winning baking secrets and personality as part of a chef
line-up which includes: Adrian Martin – Food Writer and TV chef, Executive Chef Anna Haugh, Aoife Noonan of
Glovers Alley, Ed Cooney of the Merrion Hotel, Edward Hayden – TV chef, Kevin Dundon of Dunbrody House,

Hearne-Smith – Food Stylist and Cookbook Author and Sunil Ghai – Head Chef of Pickle, among many others.

A first this year at Taste of Dublin is its biggest ever demo stage: the ‘The Neff Taste Kitchen’ where attendees will
have the opportunity to watch their favourite culinary idols cook their best recipes. Top chefs will show food
enthusiasts tips and tricks, allowing them to recreate their iconic dishes at home. Part of the same experience is the
Producers’ Table, which will be home to some of Ireland’s finest food producers.

World Class is the world’s most prestigious and respected mixology programme, committed to celebrating and
elevating the craft of bartending. World Class Spirits and Taste of Dublin have joined forces to unveil the ultimate in
luxury drinks experiences. Visitors will be invited to explore fresh and innovative cocktails and masterclasses using
the finest in luxury spirits including Roe & Co Irish Whiskey and Ketel One Vodka, all expertly crafted by Ireland’s
leading bartending talent. For the first time, the World Class Bartender of the Year Competition will bring its Irish
final to Taste of Dublin with the winner being crowned live at The Iveagh Gardens on Sunday the 17th.

Not everyone is a natural culinary creative, and sometimes it’s hard to get a handle even on the simple stuff. So this
year Simon Lamont is hosting a brand new experience ‘The Lazy Basics’ where he will teach visitors handy hacks in
20 mins so they can impress friends and family at their next dinner party. Really embracing the theme, this will
definitely be the opportunity to get to grips with how to create great dishes that are “all play with no work”!
